Time flies when having fun!!!

Tressa and I have had some fun mommy daughter time this past week. Last Wednesday, we went with some friends to a water park just up the road. Tressa had a great time swimming in the pool and playing in the little kiddie pool playground. When Ken came home that night, Tressa told him she swam in a BIG pool. My little Tressa is definitely a Richards. She loves to spend most her time in the water.

Friday night, Tressa was invited to a birthday party. I believe she was the youngest invite to a 10-year-old birthday party. It was my piano students party and they invited us for a BBQ and birthday cake. Tressa had a great time hanging with the older girls. She played on the slide and with water and sponges. Tressa was also able to hit the pinata a couple of times. She loved it so much that she didn't want to give Ken the bat, she just kept on swinging. Happy Birthday, Cecilia!!

Tuesday, we went to the children's museum to see the Grossology exhibit. It was as the name says pretty gross. However, being a Clayton, I thoroughly enjoyed learning little known facts about bodily functions. The following stations included learning about the digestive system (how food turns into poop), body parts (had a human-sized operation game), farting (had little devices that make farting noises), burping, sneezing, urine (an arcade game called Urine in the game), skin and hair, vomiting and finally, body odors. The body odors had to be the most disgusting station especially when your pregnant and your sense of smell tends to work really well. They had 4 different smells and you had to guess which one was the armpit, the anus, the mouth or the foot. Disgusting, I know, but fun. At the very end, you could test your knowledge by playing a trivia game with 4 other kids. We learned some very interesting facts. Tressa had the best time with the human size operation game.

Yesterday morning for playgroup, we went to Fon du Lac Farm Park. Fon du Lac Farm Park is a little place you can go and see baby animals. At the entrance you can buy a feeding cone for 50 cents. Tressa and I walked around the farm and saw ducks with their ducklings, lambs, bunnies, ponies, calves, chickens, turkeys, and goats. Tressa loved feeding the animals, rather than putting some food in her hands and letting the animals eat off of it, she would rather throw it at them. The farm park also had some playgrounds around that little kids could play on. Tressa, of course, loved the slide. We had a great time enjoying the outdoors. It beats sitting in the house all day long with nothing to do. Here are some pictures of us at the farm park. Enjoy!!!

Feeding the little ducklings. Aren't they cute?

The little lambs, she is actually holding out her hand. However, notice her hand is no where near the lamb's mouth.

The little flower is blossoming to fast.

Her and her tractor.
This picture was just so cute, I had to throw it in for all to see.
I hope that everyone is having a wonderful summer so far.

Happy Father's Day!!!

I just wanted to wish all the dads out there a very Happy Father's Day. Especially to my dad, he is the greatest.

What I love about my dad is:

- he is a hard worker
- has a great sense of humor
- loves to be outdoors in the yard
- always has the most beautiful yard in the neighborhood
- he always calls it like he sees it, whether you want to hear it or not
- loves his family and grandchildren
- loves to work in the temple
- has a great spirit
- he is very knowledgeable
- would do anything for his family
- he is just WONDERFUL!!!

I know that I don't say it very often to him, but he is a great man and I am truly proud that he is my dad. Love you!!! I hope that you had a wonderful Father's Day.

Be Our Guest!!!

For the past few weeks, I have been refinishing my old bedroom set to use in our guest room. I was able to get the project done before Ken's parents came into town last week. They helped us pick up our mattress from the store and helped us put the final touches on our guest room. Here are some pictures of where you guys will sleep if you come stay with us.

The view from the doorway. Bed off to your left corner when entering room.

As you walk in the bedroom to your right is the corner desk with two dressers next to it.

This bookshelf is next to the wall between the bedroom entry and walk in closet.

We really enjoy having a guest room, the blue room now has a better purpose and we can actually keep the door open with a nice view rather than boxes scattered all around.
We would love to have visitors anytime, just let us know.
Have a great day.

What's in a name?

Ken and I are having a little debate on how to spell the baby's name. I want to spell the name KATELYN. Since we are going to nickname her Kate, I thought it would be appropriate to spell it that way. However, Ken would like to spell the name KAITLYN.

What do you guys think? Which spelling would you go with? Your answer will not offend Ken or I we would just like to take a poll on the spelling. I can't wait to read your comment.

Have a great Monday.

Name of the Game!!!

Well, I think Ken and I have finally come to a decision on the name of our daughter. Ever since we found out that we are having a girl, we have been calling the little fetus.....

KATELYN

Katelyn is the winner of the name game. We are thinking the middle name will be....

MICHELLE

So, Katelyn Michelle Richards it is. Do you like?

Tomorrow's the Day!!!

I am so excited for tomorrow, it feels to me like the day before Christmas. We are finding out what we are having a boy or a girl. I am not going to say what I think it is because I tend to always jinx myself. I will definitely post tomorrow and let everyone know. From the poll I took a few weeks ago, the results were boy- 1 and girl- 3. We will see who was right.

Today is going to be full of cleaning the house and getting things ready for Ken's parents. They are coming in late tonight for the weekend. His mom will be coming with me to the appointment. It will be fun to have them here. I know Tressa is so excited. When we told her yesterday that mimi and papa are coming she hasn't stopped asking for them. I was also able to get my furniture set completely done and refinished. It looks very nice if I might add. Tomorrow we are getting the mattress. So when the guest room is all set up and looking good, I will post some pictures of my big project.

I hope that everyone has a wonderful summer day and I will post tomorrow.
