Ken and I are having a little debate on how to spell the baby's name. I want to spell the name KATELYN. Since we are going to nickname her Kate, I thought it would be appropriate to spell it that way. However, Ken would like to spell the name KAITLYN.
What do you guys think? Which spelling would you go with? Your answer will not offend Ken or I we would just like to take a poll on the spelling. I can't wait to read your comment.
Have a great Monday.

I'm voting for KATELYN. Sorry ken. I love the name, and can't wait to see her!
I second the Katelyn (or third, depending on how you're counting).
I like Katelyn if you are planning on calling her Kate!
I like Kaitlyn. Makes a common name unique and looks beautiful written too :)
Y'all could go for the southern version and call her "Kate Lynn" Clayton... although "Katie Lynn" might work better.
All-in-all, my vote is for KATELYN.
But then again, if you break it down the first and last name start with a hard C sound (like Alex's, né 'Clint Clayton') and it does sound hard on the ears, but I digress...
I still vote for Katelyn (as long as you don't capitalize the "L" too).
:-)
Mike was thinking of days long ago when you were still a Clayton with his comment.
It looks like I am in the minority, but I personally like Kaitlyn. You really can't go wrong either way.
My vote is for Katelyn, too. Sorry to your hubby, but I agree with you. Love the name!
Well, my suggestion is Queitlen. If you use a Spanish pronunciation it sounds just like Katelyn or Kaitlyn...
You may go through life having everyone spell it Caitlyn - I teach middle school and every Caitlyn here spells it that way.
But you're talking to a Terrill who's had her named misspelled and misprounced for the last 40 years - you get used to it.
And my own mother still spells Bonny'name Bonnie!
But I would vote for Katelyn - since who is called "Cait" or "Kait" if their nickname is Kate??
